Arcata-area Road Work Planned – March 17, 2010
Eureka – Caltrans announced today that roadwork has been scheduled for Saturday, March 20, on Routes 101 and 299 near Arcata in Humboldt County.
Westbound Route 299 will be closed at the southbound Route 101 onramp from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for repairs to the bridge approach. Motorists can use Route 200 (North Bank Road) to reach Route 101.
In addition, bridge maintenance work will be performed on the Arcata Overhead approximately half a mile north of Sunset Avenue. Work hours at this location are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Northbound traffic will be restricted to one lane and motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns.
