Police Chief Tom Chapman said he is one of three suspects sought in connection with the home invasion robbery in the 1500 block of 11th Street, with the other two still being sought. It was the second of two similar robberies that day, the other one taking place a few hours previous in Maria Court.
Dispatcher logs for that day describe the 11th Street suspects as three black males. The victims were bound with duct tape and robbed at knifepoint.
Chapman declined to disclose whether the 11th Street robbers had identified themselves as PG&E workers, which is how disptacher logs describe the Maria Court robbers.
Chapman confirmed that both the 11th Street and Maria Court homes housed what appeared to be illegal cannabis grows, and that the robberies were related to the grows. Both addresses have been referred to the City’s Community Development department for follow-up to ensure compliance with the Land Use Code.
