BLUE LAKE – Celebrate summer in Blue Lake on Sunday, July 18 for Annie and Mary Day at Perigot Park, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This year’s kickoff parade celebrates Blue Lake’s 100 years. Everyone is welcome to take part in this fun and funky parade by bringing a float or making one at the free float/mask-making event on Saturday, July 17, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. next to Dell’Arte in Blue Lake. On Sunday, July 18 start the day off right with a pancake breakfast at the Mad River Grange then at 11 a.m. enjoy the kick-off parade featuring the Bill Nessler Car Show that takes you right to the music of the Humboldt Folklife Society for Annie and Mary Day on stage in Perigot Park all day starting at noon and ending at 5 p.m.
This free family fun event has something for everyone: Blackberry Bramble BBQ will serve up tri tip with all the fixings, The Blue Lake School Education Foundation hosts the bouncy house. There will be craft booths, bocce ball, more for the kids, Annie and Mary Rail Trail beer booth, and so much more!
Winding up this wonderful day is music and pints at the Mad River Brewery Tap Room 4:30 to 8 p.m. and two performances by Los Payasos Mendigos at Dell’Arte at 4 and 8 p.m.
Sun up to sundown, Blue Lake is the place to be.
