I hope the voters of California will come together on the issue of legalization, and make history. Although I no longer live there, I grew up in the Bay Area which at that time, was the cultural center of the universe. Now I watch your doings from Hawaii, and hope for the best.

The quasi-legal status of cannabis makes it possible for all the gangsters to still operate, and that includes the private prisons, crooked cops, etc.

The main thing is that people must be allowed to grow their own herbs without interference from anyone. Medicine plants are our birthright, as human beings. It is flatly unconstitutional to deny people herbs, as it would be to outlaw water, air or food.

This seems like more of a wish than based on any economic data. Good facts in relation to marijuana law but the economics seem shaky. Why would peoplle not just go to Oakland? It has airpports, culture, good restaurants, nice hotels, etc. It would be nice for all you describe but not probable. Oakland will have access to the quality product wih so many more advantages. I would say were 50-50 going to see our economy tank, not what I want but is what I think will happen.

I know a lot of people that feel the same way. Quasi-legal ain’t cut’n it. there are quite a few professionals here in Humboldt, that should be allowed to peruse their craft. I have faith in the value of our hard working farmers, no mater the crop.

Its common sense to regulate and tax cannabis for so many reasons. I just hope that America will finally open its eyes and no longer be blinded by all the false facts published by the government over the years. You don’t even have to be a pot smoker to experience the benefits of legalization!
