Railroad on Humboldt Bay? Only if traffic is found to be sufficient moving South. This would require a new Port, new shippers for lumber products, and reopening mills. Tourist trains die in the winter...and will most likely die here as well....Scotia would have to be a major player in the shipping area. Then there is the canyon, ...and finding the money bags to keep it open most of the year, and allow 25mph speeds would be most incredibly impossible. Chances of reopening the line of the NWP into Eureka and Humboldt Bay are one chance in twenty as I see it. Show me the traffic,...show me the money,...show me the plan.

Do you really believe that, without a Humboldt Bay Port miracle, the NWP thinks that there is some possibility of making a profit from operations? Perhaps we are all being used in a plot to make the money granters believe that the railroad operation is a possibility, whereas the real function of the NCRA is to funnel public funds to the consultants and NWP. If you want to stop them, show the money granters how this whole thing is a waste; even if you were to step back and not contest it.
