Hagen had the character.

Although Paul Gallegos has made many decisions that I strongly disagree with, he understands the concept of a balanced justice system. From within the legal community I have watched him grow into the type of philosophical lead law enforcement official that make Humboldt such a wonderful place to live.

Allison Jackson, on the other hand, does not have the proper level of decorum or proper temperament to be the DA. She took only the easy cases to trial (by easy, I mean cases with full confessions and overwhelming evidence). Everyone knows someone who is a master of making themselves look good on the backs and brow sweat of others, while themselves doing very little. That is Allison Jackson. She should not be our DA.

This county forfeited its opportunity for leadership by this distinguished individual in the primary election, in favor of slogans and retail justice.

Paul’s right – we’ll get the DA we deserve. We didn’t recognize his leadership value when it was available for the taking, and at this point do not deserve him.
