You had to love the editorial in the Sub Standard about the cracked-brained multimillion dollar fiasco at Shasta Dam. It seems that the movie "Reefer Madness" is still the guiding light of our elected employees.

I voted against Prop 19, but because so much of the income of certain non-profit front organizations comes from the laundering of pot money, it could have had a negative impcat on the local economy. We really need to diversify, get some of the logical economic boosters in place. So many people seem to think that opposing anything that provides legal jobs should be forbidden, they forget that that includes the reason that HSU still exists. Though Gov. Brown has said that HSU is on the list of schools being considered for close-down for economic reasons.

That will leave Pot, Government and apple cider as the three props for the local economy. If pot becomes legal, the price will drop. So keep that reefer-madness mindset everyody.
