Your advice was well taken. That was the plan–they were keeping it a secret, and they accidentally told a neighbor, me. Which didn’t end up being that strategic of a move, if results are the judge.

I agree with Susan and think they should pursue a Conditional Use Permit for their feeding operation–their proposal is what everyone else calls a CAFO, or a feedlot under a roof, which requires a use permit in Humboldt County. All the competing claims can then get sorted out in a legitimate forum.

What we WANT and what the law requires are two very different things. I think that the council needs to keep that in mind more often.
These good people were chased out of town in some sort of anti goat farm witch hunt, and frankly it makes me sick to my stomach.
