Dear Citizens of Arcata,
I would like to offer you my condolences to any victims of Alex “Alboy” Silvers of my years of alcohol abuse.
I have been enightened to the fact that many inapropriate statements were made while I was under the influence on countless drinking binges. I also apologize for anyone I trampled on while trying to retrieve or order my drinks.
I promise I will keep my opinions to myself from now on. I am truly sorry for my behavior.
I have included a picture of myself before all the mayhem started so you could see that I wasn’t always an unthoughtful drunk.
Thank you for understanding, Arcata, and I appreciate your tolerance. Taking it day by day now, and please feel free to ask me directly for any personal apologies.

I admire your willingness to recognize and acknowledge your past mistakes in such a frank, direct, and public way. Best of luck on your continued recovery. If this letter is any indication, you’re well on your way!
Again we see the “I” pronoun invoked by someone using a fake identity. As though “tra’s” admiration means something to readers.
If you admire Alex’s forthcomingness, how come you don’t put your own name on your comments?
Correct Kevin, it takes guts to put it out there with you name attached to it.
Even when you’re just saying something nice to someone? I think the sneakiness becomes a habit.
Even when you are saying something nice.
As sad as that is.
Being nice to some people offends others.
It is a no win situation.
