Right, they were waiting for shift change or something, or that the cops would lose interest and wander off?

Maybe the sheer volume of pot was too much to flush, or the glistening budnuggetry was just too precious to bring themselves to do so.

Or maybe they were too baked to make prudent decisions.

The guys in the hotel room had plenty of time to flush the stash. Why didn’t they? Perhaps they were hoping that if they just stayed in the room, the police would give up and go away.
