I can’t be the only one wondering what Humboldt County Employees where doing on foreign soil, arresting people. This is the tribe that committed labor law fraud across California remember.

Yeaach disgusting whores, where else but the “Indian Tweekers Casino” in Blue Lake. I’ve gone there three times and there are whores everywhere. They don’t make a condom tough enough for those whores.

anon.r.mous: YFederal law give the Deputies jurisdiction
AS for your labor law claim it appears the Courts disagree with you.

I suggest you learn the law before you spout off!

“ROnbo007″, your statement about police juristiction and federal law is inaccurate.

In the case of Blue Lake Rancheria, they directy fund several local public safety agencies and have agreements with them. If they chose to, Blue Lake could employ their own tribal police force, fire department, hospital, etc.

    This could revolutionize the Internet.

I’m disgusted by this and here’s why: I really don’t understand what business it is of any of us or the government what sexual transactions take place between consenting adults. Conducting these stings and posting these photos is unethical, a violation of privacy, and sexual shaming at its worst. These “whores” and “Johns” (see the gender bias in the labels there?)are human beings who may have drug problems and could use the assistance and support of the community to make healthier choices, if they would like it. Otherwise, they have the right to pursue their own version of happiness, however unappealing that seems to us.

    #61558
  7. Oliver, you may be right about the principle of the thing. Nonetheless, they are alleged to have broken the law.

The police are charged with enforcing the law. When they arrest a half-dozen people and felony narcotics are involved, would you have the news media not report this?

One could credibly argue that this exposure will compel them to make “healthier choices.” Further, we didn’t call anyone a “whore.”

  8. Sanderson

Its unfortunate that one of the males arrested is a well known Veterinarian in Crescent City. I think the bottom line here is the law was broken and people were arrested. I don’t feel pity for them so much, as I do for their families.

    #61582
  9. SHUT UP

Does it matter jurisdiction? I am assuming the casino falls in county lines? And they called the police to help them fix their whore problem. It isn’t like they just rolled up out of no where.

If you think prostitution should be legal, change the law. The same goes for POT. Stop whining about it and start DOING something about it, but that might take to much time away from bong-hits and screwing hookers, not to mention time away from the PS3…

    So judgmental,
This is legal here, that is illegal there.
You get health care because you were born on that side of the line.
You don’t because you were born on the other side.
Calling people whores and tweekers is worse than the acts they are accused of.
All the comments, very exciting, not very productive, or informative.
Have a little compassion for your fellow man, or at least leave them alone if they are not hurting you.
I would rather prostitution bu conducted privately over the Internet instead of on third st. old Town.

  12. “I would rather prostitution bu conducted privately over the Internet instead of on third st. old Town.”

I don’t know how to break this to you, but after the Internet hookup they go to a neighborhood near you to seal the deal – Valley West, Blue Lake or Old Town.

This is what I was talking about, “ROnbo007″.

    http://staffingtalk.com/mainstay-business-solutions-funder-shut/

“California taxpayers could potentially be responsible for absorbing a $16.4 million lien, depending on the outcome of a case getting underway in the United States District Court Eastern District of California involving a sovereign nation.

The Blue Lake Rancheria Tribal Government, which operated staffing firm Mainstay Business Solutions, alleges that an attempt made by the California Employment Development Department to collect $16.4 million in unpaid taxes violates their tribal sovereign immunity.”

    #61652
  14. anon.r.mous

That’s the problem with Blue Lake, they break the law and claim “Sovereign Immunity” but then they go and do this. So Humboldt County Sheriffs set up camp in a criminal gang’s HQ and money laundering center, who they take money from in donations, and busted…. prostitutes.

That my friends, is stepping over $16,400,000 to pick up $50.

They are no differant than Mexican gangs, but they have the market for gambling and meth on their own FREE land. We should build a giant wall with a one way door and all the meth sht heads would stay inside.

I have spoken with employees at the Blue Lake Casino about this before. They told me that the casino knows about the prostitution and they have known about it for awhile now. They have pimps that actually live in the hotel. The hotel forces the pimps to change rooms once they have stayed for 30 days. There is one pimp who has been at the Blue Lake Casino/hotel for over two years now. This dirtbag is in his mid 50′s, overweight with a huge gut, wears a leather vest, has a ponytail hanging out his cowboy hat, grey hair. Best description I could give. Maybe I’ll go there today and get a picture of him and his “ladies”

Thank god the cops are making Arcata safe from these low lives. Those vicious whores were tearing up the place like the monsters from Cloverfield, but, thankfully, now it is over, and God-fearing Christian folk can go about their business once again.

Those dangerous pot-heads — all so cleverly toting less than an ounce, so as to avoid vicious felony prosecution — cannot be trusted. Eventually, we’ll catch them doing something really dangerous, like speeding, or maybe, illictly using an ATM card.

I for one, down here in Santa Cruz, am very glad for the fat-ass pot-bellied coppers doing their job (I mean, harassing pathetic broken down whores) up there in Eureka/Arcata. It’s so tempting, I might just move up there… someday.

Is it only me wondering why the men were put in to hard jail time with 20+ thousand dollar bail and the Hookers that are causing all the problems were booked and released right away to go back out and continue their business as if nothing ever happened? They probably went right back out and started prostituting themselves the very same night. I am surprised they are not suing the police department for their hour or 2 of lost Hooker wages.

    #61788
  20. hmm...

Anyone else surprised that Blue Lake asked for help with this rather than trying to profit off of it? Took them long enough to report/ask for help…I wonder if someone else initially reported or complained?

    #61794
  21. hmm...

Whitey Joe Young: good luck moving up here… although your type – lacking compassion and supportive of “God fearing Christian folk” is not really welcome here. Santa Cruz is probably a far better location for you to “harass pathetic broken down whores”…we try not to tolerate that kind of ignorance and unnecessary negativity here!

    #61795
  22. AS THE MOTHER OF 3 LITTLE GIRLS THIS DISGUSTS ME! I WORK 2 JOBS TO SUPPORT MY GIRLS WHILE NASTY LITTLE METH HEADS TAKE THE EASY WAY OUT & WASTE MY TAX $$$. PATHETIC! NOT TO MENTION THESE SO CALLED ‘PIMPS’…DIGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  23. Dude

I don’t see what the problem is. These women were called to the hotel to provide their services. They were going to do there business in PRIVATE. Where no one could see them. This isn’t anything like that nasty crackheads hanging out in front of the Library waving people down. Though Josie West isn’t exactly an unfamiliary sight on 3rd Street. Or wasn’t 4, 5 or 6 years ago (do the math).

@Angel, the easy way out? If prostitution was that easy more women would do it. It obviously isn’t. And the only way your precious Tax Dollars are used it by police intervention and the court costs that will follow. By busting them it will cost a lot more then if they had left it alone. Angel, I’m sorry that sex and capitalism disgusts you.

    #61823
  24. I DO FEEL IT IS THE EASY WAY OUT. IT’S A HELL OF A LOT EASIER TO GET HIGH AND SPREAD YOUR LEGS THAN IT IS TO GET UP AT THE CRACK OF DAWN DAY AFTER DAY,WORK 10 HOUR DAYS,BE AWAY FROM YOUR KIDS,MISS OUT ON PRECIOUS MOMENTS YOU CANT GET BACK BECAUSE YOU NEED TO PROVIDE FOR YOUR KIDS THE WAY THEY DESERVE & SHOW THEM HARD WORK DOES PAY OFF! WHAT DOES HOEING DO? MAKE YOU ENOUGH $ TO GET BY FOR ANOTHER WEEK OR SO! ALL IM SAYING IS IM NOT ABOUT TO FEEL SORRY FOR THE NEXT FEMALE THAT JUST WANTS TO BE LAZY..PLAIN AND SIMPLE!

    #61829
  25. Why is everybody so quick to judge these girls? I don’t see anybody saying anything about these disgusting tricks and pimps exploiting these poor girls. They use them for their money and sex then go home to their wives, girlfriends, daughters. So sad. The women are the real victims here

    #61837

    Angel:
The sad truth is that most women who turn to prostitution are the victims of molestation, abuse, rape or incest.
The other truth is that there are highly successful women who are educated and uninhibited who choose to work as prostitutes. But these are more the exception to the rule.

Many women go into prostitution out of desperation. They may come from sexually abusive backgrounds and have extremely low senses of self worth. They may have turned to drugs to escape from their pain.
What these women need is rehabilitation opportunities. (San Francisco implemented a program where first-time prostitution offenders could have the charges erased from their record after completing a counseling and job-training program).

At least when you are away from your child working 10 hours a day you can have a sense of pride in what you do.
Scratch the surface of these women and you will probably find a lot of shame, guilt, and a sense of worthlessness and desperation. What is easy about going through life like that?

Just my 2 cents, but I think you are being ignorant and failing to see the larger context of sex work. It is not easy. It is depressing. And most of the time women are subject to further abuse or rape.

As for the strong, self-actualized, healthy sex-workers out there…I think they offer the population an excellent service and should be given full protection under the law, health benefits for full-time workers, and std and drug counseling.

    #62074
  30. The police indicated to me that these women are usually heroin or meth-addicted and more or less enslaved to their pimps, or think they are, a la the classic paradigm.

Prostitution also has many forms. I have worked along with prostitutes in Crown Casino Melbourne who openly admitted that they had become prostitutes to feed their slots gambling habits. In country areas small-time 'home call' ladies are known to also be problem gamblers…and many gamblers have admitted to 'selling themselves for money' when approached in venues on a one-off basis.

In this environment, outside the professional control that usually surrounds the sex industry, gambling is creating a very dangerous/high risk health environment.
