BAYSIDE – Third District Supervisorial candidate Karen Brooks recently sat down for an interview with Arcata Eye Editor Kevin Hoover at Bayside’s Beachcomber Café.

Among the topics Brooks discussed were nonpartisanship, her differences with her opponent, party and special interest control, relationships with state and federal officials, port/rail development, history, Richardson Grove, Wal-Mart, cannabis and its various impacts and opportunities, Cypress Grove Chevre, her use of the Plaza Point senior housing project by way of accusing her opponent of social engineering, sprawl caused by cannabis grow houses, SmartMeters, the smart grid, homeopathy and “gotcha” questions.
