Traffic Stop Leads To Cocaine, LSD, DMT, Numberless Handgun – May 23, 2012

McKINLEYVILLE/BAYSIDE – On Saturday May 19, 2012 at about 9 p.m., a sheriff’s deputy patrolling the McKinleyville area conducted a traffic stop on a Nissan pickup truck on Murray Road at Boiler Road, for traffic violations.  The driver was indentified as Olivia Estetter, 23, of Bayside and the passenger was identified as David Conway, 30, of Bayside.

The deputy learned Conway had a warrant for his arrest out of Mendocino County for traffic offenses and took him into custody.  After arrest the deputy searched Conway and located a number of baggies containing suspected cocaine on his person.

The Deputy then searched the vehicle for additional contraband.  Inside the vehicle the deputy located additional suspected cocaine and a switchblade knife.  The Deputy also arrested Estetter.

Conway and Estetter were booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility.  Conway was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of controlled substance for sales, possession of cocaine Base, transportation of a controlled substance and the warrant.  Estetter was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of controlled substance for sales, possession of cocaine base, transportation of a controlled substance and traffic violations.

At the traffic stop a total of about 10.7 ounces of suspected cocaine was seized.

As a result of the traffic stop, agents with the Sheriff’s Drug Task Force were contacted and obtained a search warrant for a residence associated with Conway and Estetter in the 5700 block of Jacoby Creek Road, Bayside.  The warrant was served at about 11:45 p.m. on the same date. During the search warrant, agents located an additional 2.2 grams of suspected cocaine and suspected DMT and LSD (the amounts are not currently available).  Additionally, a handgun with the serial numbers removed was found.
