Road Work Ahead – July 1, 2012
CITY PAVING CONTINUES AT TWO MORE LOCATIONS DURING THE WEEK OF JULY 2 – 6
The City of Arcata has contracted with Kernen Construction to pave two locations in Arcata during the week of July 2 through 6, 2012. Due to the holiday week, Kernen will first grind pavement in preparation for paving on Monday and Tuesday, July 2 and 3, then pave the roadways on Thursday and Friday, July 5 and 6. During those work days, parking will be affected between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
On Monday, July 2, Kernen Construction will work on A Street between 7th and 11th Streets. On Tuesday, July 3, Kernen will work on Mack Road north of Ridge Road. There will be no parking on these streets and access will be limited on work days from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
On Thursday, July 5, Kernen Construction will pave A Street between 7th and 11th Streets. On Friday, July 6, they will pave Mack Road north of Ridge Road. Both roadways will be closed and no parking allowed during these work days.
Please observe all posted construction signage and reduce speed for the cone zone. Please also expect delays or plan alternate travel routes.
