Kevin, I am just now able to leave Arcata to go to the elections office. I will let you know what I know when I get home and to a computer. I have a feeling it will be too late for you r deadline.
Also fraud may have been a strong word, lets go with "shenanigans."

You know I will. Some people that signed my paper are really pissed off that their signatures might have been disqualified, so for them and my own personal peace of mind I need to be sure .

I looked at all the nominating petitions last week. In your case, Mark, the Elections Division found 11 (not 12) of 26 invalid. Even if all three with non-matching signatures were counted, that would still only put you at 18, two short of the required 20. Three of your signatories weren't registered to vote; three don't live in Arcata; two were registered at a different address.

The election board invalidated 12 of my nomination signature for city council. According to the letter I just received at least 5 of them ( enough to make the ballot" had the proper name, proper address, we registered to vote at the current address, but someone did not "like" the way they signed their names. They claim the signatures do not match.

Every non incumbent challenger had a minimum of 10 signatures rejected.

At this point I am leaning towards ELECTION FRAUD.

I want to see the voter registration cards. I personally know everyone that signed my paper and they are all willing to go to election headquarters to fight for their rights. (Having their legal signatures counted).

aww Mark, I would have signed for ya.. if I lived in Arcata the rest of you, you know, the ones who decided it was a good idea to supply fake names or at the very least, the names of people who didn't or couldn't recall signing for you… or somehow had moved out of the area and were no longer valid, for shame…
