Ginger Campbell: Join The Arcata Chamber’s Vibrant, Expanding Community – November 28, 2012
More than 300 businesses, organizations and individuals are now a part of the Arcata Chamber of Commerce (ACC), which means the Chamber has already exceeded its goal of 300 members for this year and is growing at a rapid rate.
Executive Director Sandy Scott says that the 2013 goal is 400 members and, “if things continue at this pace we are well on our way to meeting that goal ahead of schedule.”
Scott said the cost of the membership can, and often does, pay for itself with just one great business connection, by using the bulk mailing permit, the address labels of Chamber members for a mass mailing and/or by utilizing one of the many other benefits offered to members.
The Arcata Chamber’s number one goal is creating value for its members’ investment in the Chamber. Please view arcatachamber.com/members for the complete list of members.
The membership spans a wide spectrum that includes businesses, organizations and individuals from all over the county. This type of membership is priceless for businesses and organizations that want to expand their connections beyond the borders of Arcata and for those who want to include the Arcata community in their ongoing business plans.
New member Sara Goodwin, a financial advisor with Edward Jones, said, “When I first opened my office I went to the ACC and was extremely impressed with the outstanding assistance from their knowledgeable and welcoming staff. I knew immediately I wanted to be a part of ACC. The monthly mixers have not only been extremely helpful for making new connections for my business, but I have been able to reconnect with people I had not seen for a long time. It was a great business move for me to join.”
The Chamber also operates one of 20 exclusive California Welcome Centers. This enables the Arcata Chamber to do what few other chambers can; to provide an excellent service to member businesses and organizations and expose and refer our members to over 10,000 visitors each year. The California Welcome Center is a wonderful location for ACC members to showcase their products. As an aside, it is a great place to do your holiday shopping for some high-quality and fun ACC member products.
