SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR ARCATA BURGLARY

On Monday, Feb. 11 at about 4:43 a.m., hours, APD officers were dispatched to 650 10th St., Adventure’s Edge, for a burglary alarm.  An alert citizen also called APD to report the front window to the business was broken out and gave a description of the suspect.

Officers responded and found a large glass display window broken out to the business with a bicycle, still attached to a security cable, sitting outside the window.

Officers checked the area and located a subject matching the suspect description one block away from the business.  After conducting an investigation, APD officers arrested 21-year-old Dylan Joshua Zingg of Crescent City for commercial burglary.

Zingg was taken to the hospital for injuries caused by the broken glass and later transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility where he was booked on burglary charges.
