Humboldt Lemonade Day organizers invite participants to map their stand locations using a new program recently available online by visiting humboldt.lemonadeday.org.

Stand operators can post their stand name, location and hours, nearby landmarks, business or non-profit supporters and a narrative describing why customers should visit their stand.

They can also add photos or other graphics to increase interest in their lemonade business. This information will then be available to the public for Lemonade Day.

“Youth can also post the map on Facebook so that participants and proud parents can share the map and stand profiles with family and friends,” explained Susan Seaman, program director for the Arcata Economic Development Corporation and coordinator of Humboldt Lemonade Day.

Humboldt County Lemonade Day will be held on Saturday, June 1 and offers aspiring young entrepreneurs an opportunity to learn how to start, own and operate their own business using a lemonade stand.

Youth can register and map their stands at humboldt.lemonadeday.org.

Free backpacks and workbooks are available for registered participants at U.S. Bank in Arcata, Eureka (Henderson Center and 5th Street), Fortuna or Ferndale, at the North Coast Prosperity Center (520 E St., Eureka), or by calling Susan at (707) 822-4616 ext. 12 to arrange a pick up.

Lemonade Day is a joint project of Arcata Economic Development Corporation and Decade of Difference.
