Gas Station Robbed By Man Armed With Knife, Beanie And Bandana

On Saturday evening, June 22 at about 8:15 p.m., officers from the Arcata Police Department were dispatched to the Texaco gas station, 421 J St., on the report of an armed robbery. Upon their arrival, Officers learned that the lone suspect had fled. Officers from the HSU Police Department also responded to assist.  The area was searched and the suspect was not located.

Through their investigation, officers learned that a male suspect entered the store, threatened the clerk with a knife and stole an undisclosed amount of money from the register.  The clerk was not injured.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid 30s, Medium build and wearing dark clothing and a beanie. During the robbery, the suspect wore a bandanna over his face.

The suspect fled the area on foot in an unknown direction.
