Pets Of The Week: Doe Is A Dear; Mr. Bojangle’s Got a Snazzy ‘Stache And Tulip’s To Kiss You
Companion Animals
Asti Morris
Doe is a sweet petite girl who we believe is a young adult, about a year old.
She is a tad cautious at first, but once she is comfortable, she comes out of her hiding place, explores her world and trills for attention.
Her favorite things are toys that she can pounce on and play with, the sound of food being prepared and sitting just within arm’s reach and purring for your company.
She dislikes dogs and the loud vacuum monster. She is an active kitty, preferring to run around, playing with her toys till she is panting on the ground. She is a very good jumper when you pop the feather toy in the air. She prefers to be held for only a small amount of time, unless you find her sweet spot to rub and convince her to stay.

Mr. Bojangle is a black and white domestic shorthair. He is five years old and unaltered.
This handsome gentleman has a tuxedo and even a whimsical white mustache!
Mr. Bojangle arrived at the shelter on May 16. His ID number is A063417.
Tulip is a two year old American Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer mix. She is currently the longest canine resident at the shelter, having been there since April.
Like many of the shelter dogs, Tulip finds it tedious to be in a kennel 23 hours a day. As a result, she doesn’t always look her best when people take a tour of the adoptable dogs and is easily overlooked.
Get her outside, however, and she’s a totally different dog! Tulip walks very nicely on the leash and looks up frequently at her walker. She loves a game of fetch or the opportunity to roll over and have her belly scratched. She is friendly with other dogs and is scheduled to go to dog class where there are a lot of dog and human interactions.
Tulip has been a favorite of volunteers, many of whom have been pleasantly surprised by how sweet she is once she clears the kennel gate! She is a nice compact size and has a cute stubby tail.
Like all the adoptable dogs and cats at the shelter, she is spayed, microchipped and current on vaccinations.
Tulip’s ID number is A063104.
