four week minimum pre-payment required.
Political Ads: must be paid in advance.
Non-profits: Organizations maintaining a nonprofit status receive a discounted rate of $10 per column inch.
The Arcata Eye offers free ad production.
Pre-printed inserts run $80 per 1,000.
The Arcata Eye is a Broadsheet publication measuring 12.5 inches wide by 22.5 inches deep. Pages are formatted in a six column format:
1 column = 1.66 inch
2 columns = 3.66 inch
3 columns=5.66 inch
4 columns=7.66 inch
5 columns = 9.66 inch
6 columns=11.66 inch
Conditions and policies
We reserve the right to insert the word “advertisement” in all ads.
Liability for errors in advertising shall not exceed the cost of the space occupied by the error.
All advertising is subject to acceptance and approval by the publisher.
Dates and times of cancellations are the same as the deadlines for placing ads.
We will not knowingly accept or publish material which is in violation of the law. In submitting advertising for publication, the advertiser or agency is stating that they have the authority to place the ads submitted and agree to assume liability for all contents of all ads printed, as well as any claim arising against the newspaper.
Fridays at 5 p.m. for the following Wednesday publication.
Payment is due and payable upon publication. After 30 days, finance charges of 1.5 percent per month will accrue (18% per annum). Credit will not extended after 60 days past due.
